Rowhan has a communications and media relations background, working on national issues, including political participation, racial and social justice, criminal justice, and advancing economic opportunities.
Before joining the Brennan Center, he managed stewardship and donor communications for the Legal Defense Fund (LDF). Previously, he was an aide on Capitol Hill to U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand for over five years, last serving as deputy press secretary. Rowhan holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the Weissman School of Art and Sciences at Baruch College. Rowhan enjoys traveling to the Caribbean Islands and playing billiards when he is not working.
