Owen Bacskai is a Policy Associate in the Brennan Center’s Democracy Program, where he focuses on federal democracy reform. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Bacskai served as a scheduling assistant in the office of Vice President Kamala Harris, where he helped build the Vice President’s daily schedule, coordinated trip and event planning, and managed external scheduling requests. Previously, he also interned with the office of U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar.
Bacskai graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2021 with BAs in Political Science and Communication Arts, as well as a certificate in Public Policy. During his time in Madison, Bacskai interned in the Wisconsin State Senate, and later with the Democracy Program at the Bipartisan Policy Center.
