Owen Bacskai is a policy strategist on the Federal Affairs team in the Brennan Center's Democracy Program, where he helps devise, advance, and execute strategic advocacy around federal policy issues in the democracy space. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Bacskai served as a scheduling assistant in the office of then-Vice President Kamala Harris, where he helped build the vice president's daily schedule and coordinated trip and event planning. Previously, he worked as a legislative intern in the office of U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar.
Bacskai graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with BAs in political science and communication arts and a certificate in public policy. While there, Bacskai interned in the Wisconsin State Senate and with the Democracy Program at the Bipartisan Policy Center.
