On November 5, 2024, Mississippi will hold an election for four seats on the Mississippi Supreme Court. The candidates are running to fill the seats of four justices whose terms expire on January 5, 2025. Two of the justices, Jim Kitchens (District 1-Position 3) and Dawn H. Beam (District 2-Position 2), face challengers. Kitchens is challenged by Jenifer Branning, Byron Carter, Ceola James, and Abby Johnson, while Beam’s opponent is David Sullivan. Justice Robert P. Chamberlin (District 3-Position 1) and Justice Jimmy Maxwell (District 3-Position 2) are running unopposed. The elected justices will serve eight-year terms starting January 5, 2025.
