Brennan Center for Justice - Brennan Legacy Awards Dinner

A Night to Celebrate Democracy

We celebrate our work and honor champions of democracy and justice every year at the Brennan Legacy Awards Dinner. With 500+ guests in New York City, we pay tribute to the great pursuit of a more just and fair nation.
We hope you’ll join us at our next gala on May 1, 2024.

Take a look below for highlights from the event over the years:

Alvin Bragg speaking at a podium
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr. delivering remarks on strategies to promote fairness in prosecution while also making communities safer. His blueprint to achieve this: the Brennan Center’s research.
Heather and Sheena posing for the award
The Clean Slate Initiative’s Sheena Meade (right) presenting an award to Heather Higginbottom, who accepted on behalf of JPMorgan Chase. Higginbottom helps lead the firm’s philanthropic and policy work, including their Second Chance efforts.
