Disaster Voting Reform Act of 2007 Jefferson July 24, 2007
[VIEW STATUS]
  This bill would establish procedures for supporting the administration of elections in areas damaged by major natural disasters.  It would provide funding for the repair and/or replacement of damaged election supplies and for the outreach and education of displaced voters.  This bill would also permit evacuees to use voter registration and absentee balloting procedures established by UOCAVA through the second federal general election following the evacuation.

  This bill would generally require that ballots and voting information for federal election be provided only in English.  It would only provide for bilingual language assistance to certain jurisdictions with Native American or Native Alaskan populations.
