  This bill would permit individuals who are eligible to cast a provisional ballot in a federal election to re-register to vote on the date of the election and cast a regular ballot instead of a provisional ballot if the individual: (1) completes a voter registration application; (2) provides proof of current address to polling place election officials; and (3) executes a written affidavit stating that the individual is eligible to register to vote in the jurisdiction and has not yet voted in the election.  Proof of current address may be presented as: (1) a current and valid photo ID of the voter with her current address; (2) a current and valid photo ID without her current address and a utility bill that bears the voter’s name, current address, and is not due later than 30 dates after the date of the election; or (3) other evidence considered sufficient by the State or jurisdiction.
