Ms. Abel has also been a driving force behind expanding access to the courts for people who have limited proficiency in English.

The October 13 event, hosted by the White House Office of Public Engagement and the Department of Justice’s Access to Justice Initiative, honors a small group of people who are “Winning the Future” and inspire others to follow their lead. The event will be webcast live on October 13 at 2:00 p.m.
