New York, N.Y. – Social media executives will testify in public hearings held by intelligence committees in the House and Senate on Wednesday, November 1, surrounding Russia’s use of social media platforms to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.
Experts at the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law have put together an explainer for press covering the hearings on what questions to anticipate, what policies have been put forward in response to Russian online meddling, and what Congress can do to prevent future attacks.
Brennan Center team members are available to comment. To set up an interview with any of our experts, contact Beatriz Aldereguia at (646) 292–8369 or beatriz.aldereguia@nyu.edu.
