Colorado District Court Judge Orders Secretary of State to Cease and Desist Voter Purges

Voting rights groups asked a District Court judge to order the Secretary of State to cease and desist all cancellations between now and November 4th. The order was granted this afternoon.

Announcement—for immediate release:

Today, Colorado Secretary of State Mike Coffman publicly announced the state would continue to cancel voter registrations, a practice in violation of both the law and a court agreement entered into on Wednesday. Voting rights groups asked a District Court judge to order the Secretary of State to cease and desist all cancellations between now and November 4th. The order was granted this afternoon.
