Lauren Miller Karalunas

Lauren Miller Karalunas serves as counsel in the Brennan Center’s Democracy Program, where she focuses on voting rights, election interference, and the program’s constitutional litigation and jurisprudential initiatives.

Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Miller Karalunas litigated civil rights cases in private practice. Previously, she was a Public Rights Project fellow and special assistant state’s attorney in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she served as the first attorney in the office’s Affirmative & Impact Litigation Section. Prior to her fellowship, Miller Karalunas clerked for the Honorable John R. Blakey of the Northern District of Illinois. She earned her JD from Yale Law School and holds a BA with honors and distinction from Stanford University.
