Letter to DOJ Inspector General: Investigate Possible Misconduct of Senior Justice Department Officials
The Brennan Center joined the Center for American Progress, along with American Oversight, on a letter to the DOJ Inspector General, asking him to investigate possible misconduct of senior department officials in the firing of former FBI director James Comey.
The letter notes that there is public evidence suggesting President Trump fired Comey because of his investigation into possible collusion between the president’s advisors and Russian officials. And it says that there’s significant public evidence that senior Justice Department officials, including the Attorney General and the Deputy Attorney General, played a role in that decision.
