Rebecca Autrey is a senior media strategist in the Brennan Center’s Washington, DC, office. She develops media strategy for and promotes the work of the center’s DC office and its Justice Program. Before joining the Brennan Center, she worked as a staff writer and social media assistant at the National Guard Association of the United States. Prior to that, she worked as a deputy press secretary for Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL). She graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a degree in journalism and legal studies and has a master’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
