Megan Penney serves as the project manager in the Office of the President, supporting board relations, Office of the President initiatives, and other special projects for the chief of staff. Penney first joined the Brennan Center as the operations coordinator and has also served as special assistant to both the vice president and managing director and chief of staff.
Penney holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of New Haven and a master's degree in criminal justice from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She previously completed the TOW Policy Advocacy Fellowship at the Osborne Association's New York Initiative for Children of Incarcerated Parents. Penney is also involved in dog rescue and is a steering committee member for the nonprofit Foster Dogs, Inc.
