Alex Brunet is a research associate in the Brennan Center’s Elections and Government Program, where he focuses on money in politics, election security, and election administration. He previously worked as an honors paralegal in the enforcement division of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and as an intern at Legal Aid Chicago.
Brunet graduated with interdisciplinary honors from Northwestern University with a BA in economics and mathematical methods in the social sciences. He completed a thesis on the theory of bank failures and deposit insurance and served as an undergraduate research assistant at Northwestern’s Institute for Policy Research.
