Sara Loving was a Research Associate in the Democracy Program. She was previously an undergraduate intern with the Brennan Center during the summer and fall of 2021. Loving graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in 2022 with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Statistics. While attending the University of Florida, she worked on several projects with Dr. Daniel Smith and Dr. Michael McDonald in the Election Data Science Lab. Additionally, she was a Junior Fellow and University Scholar in the UF Political Science Department. For her senior thesis, Loving researched the effect of the January 6 Capitol insurrection on Republican Party membership in Florida.
