Turquoise Baker

Research & Program Associate, Democracy

Turquoise Baker is a Research and Program Associate in the Democracy Program, where she focuses on election security and voting rights. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Baker worked as an Intern and Project Manager at Waverly Main Street and a Digital and Inclusive Excellence Fellow for the Association of Research Libraries.

Baker graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University in 2020 with a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies and a minor in Economics. While at Johns Hopkins, she served as the Marketing Director and Executive Director of the Foreign Affairs Symposium. Baker’s previous research focused on critical race theory, housing discrimination, constitutional law, and segregation.
