There are two seats on the Ohio Supreme Court up for election. On May 5, 2026, Democratic and Republican primary elections were held to determine the candidates the partisan general election on November 3, 2026. Incumbent candidate Jennifer Brunner ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. In the Republican primary, former Franklin County Court Judge Colleen O’Donnell defeated Ohio Fifth District Court of Appeals Judge Andrew King, Ohio Ninth District Court of Appeals Judge Jill Flagg Lanzinger and Ohio Second District Court of Appeals Judge Ronald Lewis and will run against Justice Brunner for a seat on the Supreme Court in the November election.
Incumbent candidate Dan Hawkins will run for re-election in November against First District Court of Appeals Judge Marilyn Zayas for the second open seat on the Ohio Supreme Court.
