Jess Brouard is the special assistant to the Brennan Center’s Election and Government Program, where she supports the team through research and administrative work. Before joining the Brennan Center, she served as a senior presidential writer in the Biden–Harris administration, drafting official letters and proclamations for President Biden. She also worked for the City of Los Angeles, contributing research and writing to initiatives aimed at addressing the city’s housing crisis.
Brouard graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a BA in political science and global studies.
