In Ohio, two Republican incumbents, Maureen O’Connor and Evelyn Stratton, were challenged by Democrats Joseph Russo and Peter Sikora, respectively. Russo was a trial judge in Cuyahoga County’s Common Pleas Court, and Sikora was a juvenile court judge in Cuyahoga. Both sitting justices won their elections and maintained their seats on the bench. Total spending equaled $3.1 million, with groups and parties outspending the candidates.
