Brianna Seid

Counsel, Justice

Brianna Seid is a counsel in the Brennan Center’s Justice Program. Her work focuses on quantitative and policy research on crime trends and the effects of federal, state, and local criminal justice system policies on mass incarceration.

Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Seid served as an assistant district attorney in a general trial zone of the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. During law school, she worked as a research fellow with the Zimroth Center on the Administration of Criminal Law at NYU Law and served as the copresident of the American Constitution Society. 

Seid holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology from Union College, where she received the Alvin F. Nitchman Prize for the most promising senior planning to attend law school. She received her law degree from NYU School of Law, where she was a Dean’s Scholar and Sudler Fellow.
