Brianna Seid

Counsel, Justice

Brianna Seid is a counsel and George A. Katz Fellow in the Brennan Center’s Justice Program. Her work focuses on quantitative and policy research into trends in crime, and the consequences of federal, state, and local criminal justice system policies on mass incarceration.

Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Brianna served as an assistant district attorney in a general trial zone of the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. During law school, she worked as a research fellow with the Zimroth Center on the Administration of Criminal Law at NYU Law and served as the Co-President of the American Constitution Society. Brianna holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology from Union College where she received the Alvin F. Nitchman Prize for the most promising senior planning to attend law school. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she was a Dean’s Scholar and Sudler Fellow.
