The seats of two Alabama Supreme Court justices, Greg Shaw (R) and Brad Mendeim (R) are due to expire on January 17, 2020. A primary election for Place 1 took place on March 3, 2020 in which incumbent Greg Shaw (R) defeated Alabama State Senator Cam Ward (R). Shaw will run unopposed in the general election, which is scheduled for November 3, 2020. For Place 2, Brad Mendheim will run unopposed in the general election.
