Yolanda Gaines is the Brennan Center’s Director of Human Resources. She oversees training, compensation, development, and culture in the Human Resources department.
Gaines started her career in human resources at Towers Perrin (now Towers Watson), a professional services firm. After leaving Tower Perrin, she entered the non-profit sector and did recruiting for Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, Inc. and New York University. Following those two organizations, Gaines served in human resources manager and business partner roles at a public health and healthcare organization, Public Health Solutions and Elizabeth Seton Children’s. She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and her MA in Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
