Lauren Putnam

Lauren Putnam is a paralegal in the Brennan Center’s Office of General Counsel, where she supports litigation across all programs and the legal department’s management functions. Previously, she served in the Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice as a disability rights investigator. She was also a paralegal in the division’s Office of the Assistant Attorney General and Voting Section, where she worked on litigation and enforcement matters brought under the Voting Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Civil Rights Act of 1964.

She graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in political science, a minor in philosophy, and a peace studies certificate. She also holds an associate degree in general studies from McLennan Community College.
