Matthew Ruppert

Special Assistant, Liberty & National Security

Matthew Ruppert is the special assistant to the codirectors of the Brennan Center’s Liberty and National Security Program, providing research, scheduling, and administrative support. He was previously a legal assistant in the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Columbia. Prior to that, he interned at the National Academy of Public Administration and in a Senate office. Ruppert graduated magna cum laude from Columbia University with a BA in political science and a concentration in human rights.
