The Brennan Center joins fourteen civil society organizations to propose reforms to Section 702, a “foreign intelligence” tool that has become a vehicle for domestic spying.
This guidance empowers U.S. citizenship & immigration officers with significant discretion to deny a range of immigration-related applications based on language that’s not rooted in the law or otherwise vague.
