Officials from around the country shed light on challenges in election administration.

The role of local election officials has evolved to meet new challenges in administering elections, becoming increasingly complex, specialized, and subject to scrutiny. In addition to ensuring that elections run smoothly, they must now also respond to heightened cybersecurity risks and escalating threats to the safety of election workers

Since 2021, the Brennan Center has surveyed local election officials across the country to better understand their experiences, including how changes in the field impact their work.
