Testimony on the FISA Amendments Act before the Senate Committee on the Judiciary

Elizabeth Goitein, Co-Director of the Brennan Center’s Liberty and National Security Program, testified before the Senate Committee on the Judiciary on June 27, 2017 in a hearing titled “The FISA Amendments Act: Reauthorizing America’s Vital National Security Authority and Protecting Privacy and Civil Liberties.”

With the expiration of the FISA Amendments Act looming, Elizabeth (Liza) Goitein urged the Senate Committee on the Judiciary to reform Section 702 and institute stronger safeguards for Americans privacy and Fourth Amendment rights.
