    On February 4, 2020, the Brennan Center and Defending Rights & Dissent (DRAD) filed a federal lawsuit in New York against the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for failing to provide information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The Brennan Center and DRAD submitted their FOIA request on May 6, 2019, requesting documents relating to the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF).

  • Public Interest Legal Foundation v. Winfrey

    The League of Women Voters of Michigan and League of Women Voters of Detroit intervened as defendants in a lawsuit in which the Public Interest Legal Foundation alleges that the Detroit City Clerk and Director of Elections have not purged voters aggressively enough. On June 29, 2020, PILF voluntarily asked the court to dismiss the case. On June 30, 2020, the parties stipulated to a dismissal of the case with prejudice.
