Everything You Need to Vote

As a voter, you have rights. Make sure you know them before you cast your ballot, and help fight disinformation by sharing these resources with your friends and family.

Whether you are casting your ballot through early in-person voting, voting by mail, or heading to the polls on Tuesday, November 3, rest assured that our elections are safe and secure. And your vote matters. Some important things to remember:

  • Make a plan to vote: Check your registration status. Know the rules in your state for early voting, voting by mail, and in-person voting on Election Day. Find your polling place or drop box and check the hours.
  • Vote with confidence: Federal efforts to interfere with the voting process have failed. There is no federal requirement to produce a passport or birth certificate to register to vote, and federal courts blocked efforts to meddle with mail voting.
  • On Election Day (Tuesday, November 3), if you are still in line when your polling location closes, stay in line. You’re entitled to vote under state law.
  • If you have any issues voting or questions about how to vote, you can call or text 866-OUR-VOTE to speak with an expert who can help.
