Philomena Ogalo is the Brennan Center's Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Manager. She graduated in 2014 from Drew University with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Pan-African Studies. After graduating, Philomena began her career in education through serving as an Urban Education Fellow at Great Oaks Legacy Charter School (GOLCS) in Newark, NJ where she committed to a year of service tutoring and mentoring High school students.
Her passion for meaningful work led her to become a member of the Talent and Recruitment Team at GOLCS, where she served as a Recruitment Associate and later a Senior Talent Manager, hiring fellows, teachers, administrative and network staff across GOLCS’ 7 school network. Philomena has obtained a Master’s in Public and Nonprofit Management from New York University Wagner School of Public Service with hopes of continuing to expand her advocacy involvement.
