Nirma Hasty is a senior video producer and editor at the Brennan Center.
Hasty is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, she produced, filmed, and edited feature videos and documentaries at NBC News Digital for nearly a decade. Her work focused on social justice issues, including immigration, racial inequality, and criminal justice. She produced projects such as Boiling Point: A City’s Fight for Clean Water, Blood on Black Wall Street: The Legacy of the Tulsa Race Massacre, and The History of Black Voter Suppression — and the Fight for the Right to Vote.
She received her BFA in communication arts from the New York Institute of Technology.
