Luke Meares is a development associate working between the direct response and donor services team and the institutional relations team in the Brennan Center’s Development Department, where he conducts donor and foundation research, helps maintain the center’s database, and coordinates the department’s written correspondence.
Before joining the Brennan Center, Meares worked as a development associate at the Design Trust for Public Space, a nonprofit urban design organization. Previously, he worked as a media fellow at the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project, a nonprofit legal and advocacy organization, and as a fellow at New Heights Communications, a progressive communications firm. Previously, he interned at the Office of Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Aftab Pureval’s campaign for Cincinnati mayor, and Grant Goodrich’s campaign for Ohio District 16. Meares graduated from Pomona College with a major in media studies and a minor in politics.
