Anna Zhuravlova is a program associate in the Brennan Center’s Liberty and National Security Program. Previously, she worked for an international human rights NGO, focusing on initiatives to strengthen democratic resilience and human rights in Eastern Europe, with particular attention to Ukraine. Prior to that, she interned at One Journey, a refugee advocacy organization, supporting community outreach efforts and program development.
Zhuravlova graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley, with a bachelor’s degree in political science, where she focused on the study of international relations and violent conflict. She also holds associate degrees in political science and social and behavioral sciences from Irvine Valley College.
