Patrick Berry

Counsel, Democracy

Patrick Berry serves as counsel in the Brennan Center’s Voting Rights and Elections Program. He advises lawmakers on policy, litigates voting rights cases, and provides commentary on voting-related issues to the media. He began his work at the center as a fellow in the Democracy Program, focusing on voting rights restoration and promoting fair, diverse, and impartial courts.

Berry received his BA from the University of Central Florida and his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. While in law school, he participated in the legislative clinic, served as an executive editor for the Journal of Law & Public Affairs, and interned at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington and Open Primaries.
