Incumbent Justice William Scott was up for re-election, and faced Justice Janet Stumbo, who previously served on the Supreme Court from 1993-2004 and is currently a judge on the Court of Appeals. Judicial elections in Kentucky are non-partisan.
The general election was held on November 6; incumbent Justice William Scott won re-election.
