VRM in the States: Maine

Maine currently has the Election Day Registration and Portability components of Voter Registration Modernization in place. Maine also has preregistration.
Election Day Registration is so popular in Maine that, when it was repealed by the state legislature, it was reinstated by popular referendum in the 2011 election.
In the past, Maine has considered the following VRM-related legislation:
- Online Registration. This bill would allow citizens of the state to register to vote online. (LR 1365)
