Sophie Schuit joined the Brennan Center in June 2014 as a Research and Program Associate in the Democracy Program, where she focuses on voting rights and elections. Before joining the Brennan Center, Sophie interned at the White House, Organizing for America, and the New York City District Attorney’s office. Sophie graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in Political Science, earning the Antoinette Dames prize for best undergraduate research paper. She also worked as a research assistant for Prof. Jon Rogowski, where they studied the Voting Rights Act’s effect on Congressional voting behavior and levels of trust in government.
