Peter Dunphy is a Research and Program Associate in the Democracy Program, where he focuses on voting rights and elections. Prior to joining the Brennan Center in 2018, Peter interned for the Center's Democracy Program, Kids in Need of Defense, and the American Federation of Government Employees.
Peter graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Government and American Studies. At Wesleyan, Peter researched the volume and composition of campaign donations from university faculty. He served as the editor of the Wesleyan Political Review and a researcher at Wesleyan’s Center for Prison Education. For his senior thesis, Peter analyzed the causes and effects of democratic norm decline in the United States.
