Meghan Koushik

Research and Program Associate

Meghan Koushik joined the Brennan Center in July 2014 as a Research and Program Associate in the Liberty and National Security Program. Prior to joining the Center, Meghan spent a year in Turkey on a Fulbright grant where she taught English to university students and conducted research on the lack of legal protections for LGBT-identified asylum seekers.

Meghan was a Davis United World College Scholar at Brown University, and graduated with honors in Middle Eastern Studies and International Relations. She was also a student leader in Brown's community of color through the Third World Center, and served as an Executive Board member for the South Asian Students Association. Meghan received departmental honors for her senior thesis, which examined the persistence of institutional discrimination against Muslims in India.
