Eric Petry joined the Brennan Center in June 2014 as a Research and Program Associate in the Democracy Program, where his work focuses on issues pertaining to campaign finance reform and redistricting. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Eric interned with the National Lawyers Guild in San Francisco, researching legal issues and coordinating with advocacy groups around the Bay Area.
Eric graduated summa cum laude from the College of Wooster with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Political Science. At Wooster, he conducted an Independent Study Thesis examining the dynamics and consequences of underfunding in Ohio’s public schools, served as captain of the Wooster moot court team, and won the 2012-2013 ACMA National Brief-Writing Championship.
