Avram Billig joined the Brennan Center in June 2013 as a Research Associate in the Democracy Program. His work focuses on the impact of money in politics, including outside spending in elections, public financing, and court challenges to campaign finance laws. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Avram interned at the Brookings Institution, where he conducted research on Congressional gridlock and bipartisanship in presidential administrations. He has also interned at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and on Capitol Hill. Avram graduated summa cum laude from American University with a B.A. in Political Science and History.
