Abigail Godwin serves as special assistant to the director of the Brennan Center’s Washington, DC, office. She works closely within all of Brennan Center’s programs providing scheduling, research, and administrative support. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, she interned with the Chinese Community Center of Houston’s Youth Program, which assist’s new immigrant youths in their transition into the community through tutoring, enrichment, and social activities.
Godwin graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2016 with a BS in public health. She was an active contributor in the Population Health Program. She helped coordinate and volunteer in multiple community health centered drives that included: free flu shots, Be The Match, STI testing, Mental Health Awareness Month, and Houston Foodbank’s Food For Change.
