Lawmakers in Madison are considering a bill that would limit the ability of trial judges to block unconstitutional state laws, putting citizens at risk of irreparable harm from constitutional violations.

This is the testimony I would have delivered at a Republican-led Senate hearing on campaign finance reform. But like most other New Yorker’s whose voices are silenced by a torrent of special interest money in Albany, I, and other leading nonpartisan experts, were not permitted to testify.
