Kelly Williams

Kelly Williams serves as Counsel in Finance and Operations. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Ms. Williams worked in various capacities at the Community Development Venture Capital Alliance, the association of community development venture capital ("CDVC") funds, most recently as the Director of Program Development, membership director and general counsel. She is the author of two white papers on angel investing in low-income communities, co-author of a study on state tax incentives for private equity investment, and a book on private investing by socially motivated individual investors. Ms. Williams was an associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York specializing in corporate finance and Legal Counsel at Union Bank of Switzerland's securities subsidiary in New York. She holds a B.A. from Tufts University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
