R. Kyle Alagood

Legal Intern for Special Projects

R. Kyle Alagood is a student at Louisiana State University Law Center. As a legal intern, Kyle works on special projects that focus on law enforcement accountability, oversight of U.S. intelligence agencies, and government transparency. A former Research Associate at the Brennan Center, Kyle has organized two high-level events: lecture by Janet A. Napolitano, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; and a convening of experts on law enforcement and intelligence gathering, headlined by John O. Brennan, Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and U.S. Rep. Bennie G. Thompson. In addition to his work with the LNS Program, Kyle researches, writes for, and helps edit Frederick A.O. “Fritz” Schwarz, Jr.’s forthcoming book on excessive secrecy and democracy.  

Before joining the Brennan Center, Kyle was at University College London, from where he received his Master of Science in Democracy and Democratisation. He is a native Louisianan and graduated from the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University.
