
Nicole Fortier
Associate Counsel
Nicole Fortier joins the Justice Program as Associate Counsel*. Fortier focuses on changing financial incentives and assists with litigation to reduce mass incarceration. She recently graduated from Fordham University School of Law, where she represented criminal defendants at Lincoln Square Legal Services and was active in the Puerto Rican Student Bar Association. She also holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She was previously a legal intern with the ACLU, and was a legal intern with the Justice Program from September 2012 to July 2013. Fortier is continuing with her work to reduce mass incarceration, focusing on realigning the perverse incentives in the system and engaging in federal advocacy.
