Special Assistant to the Vice President & Managing Director
Megan Penney serves as the Special Assistant to the Vice President & Managing Director, providing research, administrative, and logistical support to Vivien Watts, Vice President & Managing Director. Megan first joined the Brennan Center in March 2017 as the Operations Coordinator.
Megan has her Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from CUNY John Jay and previously completed the TOW Policy Advocacy Fellowship at The Osborne Association's NY Initiative for Children of Incarcerated Parents. She also completed her B.A. in Criminal Justice at the University of New Haven. Besides her studies and work in Criminal Justice, Megan is also very involved in dog rescue and is a steering committee member for a non-profit called Foster Dogs Inc.
