Laura Royden is a redistricting researcher in the Democracy Program. She focuses on quantitative approaches to studying and analyzing redistricting. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, she was a research assistant for Data-Smart City Solutions at the Harvard Kennedy School's Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation.
Laura graduated from MIT in 2014 with an S.B. in urban studies & planning and a minor in political science. Her senior thesis examined the impact of state-level procedural reform on redistricting outcomes.
