
Bridgett King
Bridgett King joined the Brennan Center in August 2012 as a Voting Rights Researcher in the Democracy Program where she focuses on conducting research on voter disenfranchisement. Prior to joining the Brennan Center Bridgett was a doctoral student and adjunct instructor at Kent State University where she completed her Ph.D. in Political Science. Her doctoral research focused on political participation; specifically, the effect of state voting policies on the voter turnout of the African American population in Presidential and midterm elections from 1996-2008. In addition to political participation she has conducted research focused on juror decision making in death penalty cases, juror perceptions of the criminal justice system, the norm of reciprocity and the digital divide.
